INION Membrane - Surgical Technique
The INION Membrane is meant to replace titanium mesh membranes and other high priced rigid membranes which are known to cost $350-$400 or more. The INION Membrane costs $150. It is just as rigid as a titanium mesh membrane; but unlike a titanium membrane, it fully resorbs away in 13-15 weeks. Therefore, a 2nd surgical procedure to remove the membrane is no longer required. The edges of the INION membrane are smooth, unlike titanium mesh's rough edges that cause tissue exposures that attract and trap bacteria that cause infections. The tacks are also fully resorbable and will not break due to surgical technique shown in the live surgery.
