i have eczema since i was a baby. the flareups had gotten way out of hand recently. i have phobia of using corticosteroid so i took antihistamine every day & use emollient every hr but to no avail so i went to see a dermatologist. her advice: the only medicine that suppress acute flare up is corticosteroid. emollient or any other skincare products or avoidance of triggers are just supplements.as for my "phobia" - mix aqueous cream & corticosteroid 1:1 to reduce dosage. it worked.

It's very important to make sure you have a sugar free diet, as eczema literally FEEDS off of the sugar. Vitamin E oil is a lifesaver for me because it reduces itching!! I have eczema and it's going away because I did these things! I had it on my neck, hands, inside of my arms, on my scalp, behind my ears, my cheeks, my nose, and a little on my back. Now I just have it on the inside of my arms, my cheeks, and my nose (but it only flares like once a month now)!!! Good luck! ^__^

While immune issues and allergies and stress all play a part, Mother Nature knows best and natural products containing: lavender, chamomile, helichryse, aloe, musk rose oil, millepertuis, calendula and other non-petroleum derivatives are what can help control and abate the redness, roughness and itching that accompanies this condition."Divine Douceur" products can be ordered on line and are personalized with your own name on the label. They are truly a gift from you to your skin and they work.

Hey I have Eczema too. But I've come to accept it. Although mine isn't severe, when I do breakout, it does look abnormal. One thing I can say is that, if you have Eczema, just accept it. Only thing you can do. When you stop viewing it as a curse, you'll be better off. Many people have allergies to food, and are worse off. Just be glad that it's not you.
