If this legislation passes, midwives would once again be able to be licensed. Under current ky law, they are unable to be licensed, although they wish to be. Without being licensed it is illegal to attend births in ky, but currently, that's the only way to do it because ky stopped issuing licenses in the 70's. clear as mud? :)

With this legislation, would midwives be able to practice without being licensed? I'm not sure if I understand the situation correctly. Are professional (paid), *uncertified* midwives attending births in KY legal?

Okay, now I am teary-eyed! I couldn´t help it when all those sweet I was born at home and the little girl said she would birth at home!Keep fighting THEY are so worth the fight.
